COVID restrictions impacted the activities of civil society organizations (CSOs) just like many other sectors. In the “Peace in Quarantine” interviews we carried out to better understand how peace CSOs were affected by the pandemic, in what manner they carried on with their work in this period and facilitate a sharing of experiences in this regard, we realised that CSOs have struggled to keep up their internal communication as well as stay in touch with their target audiences during the pandemic.
In this research project, we will take COVID restrictions as a starting point without limiting ourselves to this area to document the existing communication strategies and strategy development needs of CSOs working on peace and operating under extraordinary duress. With this we seek to contribute to the visibility of peace activism and studies in the near future in order to empower different civil society actors working in the field.
